The Biomechanics Academy

Understand biomechanics deeply. Think for yourself. Make better decisions with confidence.

The Biomechanics Academy is an ongoing membership for coaches, clinicians, and serious lifters who want to understand movement deeply, solve unfamiliar problems for themselves, and keep developing their ability to think clearly in the gym.

Founding member offer: The first 100 members to join will receive a 20% lifetime discount on their Academy membership.

What will the Academy help you become?

Move from second-guessing yourself to knowing how to find the next step.

Most people do not join the Academy because they need more definitions. They join because they have learned a lot and still do not trust themselves when a real person presents a messy, unfamiliar problem.

The problems people come in with

What may feel frustrating now

You know a lot, but still freeze when something does not fit the model.

A client moves differently, an exercise feels wrong, or pain changes the plan—and suddenly you are unsure what to do.

You keep looking for someone else to tell you the correct answer.

You save posts, watch more videos, and collect more rules, but your confidence still depends on outside certainty.

You overthink simple decisions.

Exercise selection, technique changes, and coaching adjustments become stressful because every option feels like it might be wrong.

You struggle to explain why something worked—or why it did not.

You may find an answer by accident, but you do not yet have a process you can repeat across different people and problems.

What changes inside the Academy

How you will become more capable

You will feel calmer when the answer is not immediately clear.

Instead of treating uncertainty like failure, you will know how to slow down, investigate, and choose a useful next step.

You will trust your own thinking more.

You will rely less on memorized rules and more on a process that helps you make decisions from the situation in front of you.

You will make adjustments with a reason behind them.

You will be able to change technique, setup, load, range of motion, or exercise choice without guessing blindly.

You will become more adaptable across people and problems.

You will leave with a way to learn from new situations rather than needing to have seen the exact problem before.

The goal is not to make you certain. It is to make you capable inside uncertainty.

What you build inside the Academy

A process you can trust when the situation is unfamiliar.

The value is not simply knowing more biomechanics. It is having a place to keep practicing how to move forward when you do not already know the answer.

ObserveDescribe what actually happened.
ClarifyIdentify the person’s goal.
ExperimentChange one meaningful variable.
LearnUse the response to guide the next step.
Inside the Biomechanics Academy

One place to learn the framework, apply it, and keep refining it.

The Academy is built around a simple progression: learn how to see more clearly, apply the process to real movement, then keep reflecting and iterating with direct feedback from Ben and the community.

Start here

Biomechanics Foundations

The core roadmap inside the Academy. Build the observation, goal-setting, experimentation, and reasoning skills that everything else builds on.

Keep applying

Movement analyses & case studies

Work through exercises, client problems, guided experiments, and real movement breakdowns that challenge you to use the process rather than memorize answers.

Keep refining

Live calls, lectures & community

Bring questions directly to Ben, learn through Academy lectures and discussions, and get feedback from a community focused on becoming more capable and independent.

Start here: Biomechanics Foundations

Foundations gives you the roadmap. The Academy gives you somewhere to keep using it.

Every Academy member begins with Biomechanics Foundations: the four-part course that teaches the process underneath everything else in the community. It gives you a shared language for observation, goals, experimentation, and integration. From there, the rest of the Academy helps you keep applying it.

01
Foundation one

Description Before Explanation

Learn to describe the person, implement, contact points, and movement itself before jumping to conclusions.

02
Foundation two

Goals Before Judgments

Learn to evaluate technique, exercise selection, and range of motion in relation to the person and their goal.

03
Foundation three

Experiments Before Conclusions

Learn to form a useful hypothesis, change one variable, observe the response, and decide what to test next.

04
Foundation four

Integration

Combine observation, goals, physics, anatomy, and experimentation into one repeatable process.

What happens after Foundations?

The course gives you the lens. The Academy gives you the reps.

Foundations is the starting point, not the finish line. The Academy gives you recurring opportunities to analyze movement, work through real cases, ask questions, test ideas, and learn alongside people trying to become more capable and independent too.

1

Biomechanics Foundations

Start with the roadmap: a structured course designed to change how you observe movement, define problems, and make decisions.

2

Apply it every week

Movement investigations, guided experiments, case studies, and breakdowns give you recurring chances to test ideas instead of taking them on faith.

3

Think with Ben & the community

Bring actual questions, videos, and cases to live calls and community discussions so you can refine how you think through them.

Throughout the week
Learn

Lectures & listening

Short lectures, podcasts, and continuing education you can work through on your own schedule.

Investigate

Weekly movement investigation

Regular movement investigations that turn the ideas into something you can test in your own training or coaching.

Reflect

Daily reflections

Short reflection prompts that help you notice, process, connect, and apply what you are learning.

24/7 community

Ask questions, share wins, get feedback, and learn alongside the rest of the community throughout the week.

The Academy continues

Keep applying. Keep iterating. Keep seeing more.

Once you have the Foundations process, the Academy becomes an ongoing practice environment for the problems you actually encounter in training, coaching, and movement.

↻

Keep investigating

New movement investigations and prompts give you reasons to keep testing your assumptions instead of settling into another rigid set of rules.

?

Bring the problems that show up

Use the community and live calls for the exercises, clients, pain questions, programming decisions, and unfamiliar situations you are dealing with right now.

∞

Keep refining your eye

The more situations you observe, describe, experiment with, and discuss, the more naturally the process begins to transfer to things you have never seen before.

Who the Biomechanics Academy is for

For people who are tired of knowing more without feeling more confident.

You second-guess your decisions

You want to stop wondering whether every exercise, cue, or adjustment is secretly wrong.

You want to adapt without guessing

You want to work confidently with different bodies, goals, histories, and responses instead of forcing everyone into one model.

You have outgrown simple answers

You can see that rigid rules do not account for real people, but you still need a clear way to make decisions without them.

You want independence, not dependence

You are willing to observe, test, and reflect so your confidence can come from your own ability to solve problems.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I join anytime?

Yes. The Biomechanics Academy is an ongoing membership. You can join whenever you are ready and begin with the Biomechanics Foundations course at your own pace.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The Academy is month to month. Stay for as long as the community, live calls, courses, and continuing practice are useful to you, and cancel whenever you want.

Is this an anatomy course?

Anatomy and physics are used throughout, but the purpose is to teach you how to apply them to real movement and coaching problems.

Do I need advanced biomechanics knowledge?

No. Curiosity, observation, and willingness to experiment matter more than advanced terminology.

Will you teach the correct way to perform every exercise?

No. You will learn how to evaluate different options in relation to the person, goal, and context.

What is Biomechanics Foundations?

Biomechanics Foundations is the structured starting course inside the Academy. It teaches the core process you will use throughout the community: describe clearly, identify the goal, form a useful hypothesis, experiment, and use the response to guide the next step.

How long can I stay in the Academy?

As long as it is useful to you. You can join anytime, stay month to month, and cancel anytime. The goal is still independence: the Academy gives you a place to practice, get feedback, and keep refining your own thinking.
